After the recommendation of my friends, I purchased Jio WiFi device, I know its late, but later is better than never.
Just thought to share what I think about this device.
These are the merits of Jio Hot Spot: At one time Reliance Jio Fi can connect to WiFi device and a USB device. It has an OLED display that lets you see the network’s strength, power, WiFi status. By device, we can create WiFi hotspots on our own. This device has a battery of 2300 mAh which can run for up to 6 hours.
I purchased this device from Relience Digital, Lucknow and to get this device I gave photocopies of passport size of my photo, my address proof, and my identity card (Adhar Card).
I am getting unlimited internet, HD Voice and SMS facility in this offer. Apart from this, applications for Jio TV, Jio Cinema, Jio Music, Jio Drive, Jio Security and Jio Money will also be available.
Being a Tech Geek I spend a hell lot of my time reading (time wasting) on the internet, For using the internet we need a modem or router. Thus I bought a hell lot of them (I’m a geek what do you expect!), Currently, I can see 3 routers and 2 modems on another side of my desk while I’m writing this article.
Previously I used to use TP-Link router which I bought from Amazon for a pretty cheap price, but after Jio started selling their routers I switched to JioFi 3. The best thing which I liked the most about this tiny piece of tech is its form factor, It’s pretty small and you can carry it anywhere you go. I normally carry it on my bag’s water packet (I always forget to carry a water bottle!). In this way, I can turn it on or off whenever I needed.
Now if we talk about the performance of this JioFi, I own 2 Jio SIMs. I use one on my Phone and another on JioFi router. While this may be my hallucination or Maybe I’m biased to JioFi (I don’t use my android phone that much); I have noticed that Jio SIM works better in JioFi than on a Phone. Also if you are someone who only uses Jio SIM for the internet then I would suggest you buy this router and use your SIM instead of using it with your phone.
Update: Jio started giving 100% cashback on purchase of Jiofi device. So it’s the best time to buy one if you already don’t own a Jiofi.
I’m not a professional router or blogger; Just a geek. Let me know how good or bad I write. Use the comment section below to share your thoughts with me.

However, for using JioFi router you will have to log into jiofi router an check the stuff like username, password, jiofi internet speed and all. While it’s pretty easy to login tojiofi router, it’s not always a Childs play.
Normally you would need to login to JioFi.Local.Html with the username and password which you will see on JioFi router box (If you don’t see it you can reset the password by clicking on the reset button for 15 seconds.) However, if you face any problem any problems while login into the MiFi router you have just landed on the right page. See here you will find two ways to fix JioFi.Local.Html not working issue. For this, you will have to log in to your JioFi router admin dashboard at jiofi.local.html or at 192.168.i.i, use the username and password which you will find at the back of your router box.

Jio took the Indian internet industry or to be specific the Indian telecom industry by storm. Nearly everybody owns a Jio SIM today, some even own an LYF Handset while only a small number of people also brought the jiofi router. Jiofi is the internet router sold by reliance jio, they laughed jiofi first and then they launched JioOptic fiber Broadband service (a 1000Mbps+ Internet broadband) which is going to give it’s competitors a heavy time for sure.
However, this article is about how to set up and use Jiofi router for the first time. You can also call this page the JioFi 101 Guide which will help any first time user to properly setup and use jiofi router. So without further ado let’s get started.
There are many variants of JioFi router; most popular once being JioFi 2 and JioFi 3. However, I would like to tell you that this tutorial can be applied and followed for any JioFi router. So don’t worry no matter which JioFi MiFi router you use just read the following steps carefully and you should be able to get started as soon as possible.
Step 1: Getting Started
First, open JioFi router package and install the battery in it. Now put it on the charge, charge it for 15minutes before you start using it. While you can also use it at the same time while it’s put in charge but it’s really not recommended to do this. Don’t push your devices to the map while using them. You can do this but just don’t.
Step 2: Connect your Computer to JioFi Network
Now you need to connect your computer to the JioFi network, you will see the network name and password of it at the back of the JioFi router box.
Step 3: Login to your JioFi Device and Charge Necessary Settings
Now, go to JioFi router Admin dashboard at http://jiofi.local.html/ or 192.168.l.l. Use the password which is written at the back of JioFi router retail box. Yes, unlike other tech boxes it’s not totally useless.
After you login, you will see admin dashboard which will look something like this (See screenshot below).
You have to navigate through this interface and change the password and network name, this will prevent unwanted people from accessing your wifi network.
